Status and Dynamics of Formal Structures in Husserl and Poincaré
Drawing upon the reflections and theses of Husserl and Poincaré regarding mathematics and consciousness, my doctoral research investigates the dynamic possibility of a mathesis conceived as a rigorously scientific philosophy transposed from mathematics. I will particularly analyze the temporality of mathematical proof and the historicity of the configurations of mathesis.
Bio
I am a PhD candidate in epistemology and the philosophy of mathematics at the Centre Gilles Gaston Granger (Aix-Marseille University), under the supervision of Professor Fausto Fraisopi. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Strasbourg, I pursued a Master's degree in Epistemology, History of Science, and Technology at the University of Lorraine. My research is grounded in the tradition of thinkers of mathesis. Having initiated my academic path struck by the specificity and power of mathematics, I subsequently adopted a perspective centered on the circulation of scientific knowledge and the power dynamics among scientific disciplines. Understanding the complementarity between mathematics and philosophy led me to examine the potential transposition of certain formal structures to philosophy. My approach is transdisciplinary and dynamic: I seek to examine the parallel between the re-presentation of time and the representation of scientific knowledge. Positioned at the intersection of justification and discovery, my objective is to account for the temporality of mathematical proof.
